Explosions, guns, muscles, martial arts, and beautiful starlets.  This pretty much sums up Sylvester Stallone's new movie "The Expendables".

At first glance the names of the key actors alone would draw anyone older than 16 in to see this movie, and honestly, after watching I must say that it was not just a big name ploy like other movies of the same genre.

Viewing with a group of friends and I am sure that there was an extra element added to the atmosphere, but nothing could really take away from this movie.  From the very first scene there was blood guts and gore all over the screen.

The director actually made a segway onto the conflict between  two of the main characters from the get go, setting up a nice ending.  This WILL NOT be the best movie you watch in terms of story line or plot, however, if you want to have a good time, a few laughs and enjoy the return of the 80's action hero, this movie will not dissapoint.

Inception, the act of pushing a thought into the mind of another with the hopes that the subject will accept this as an original thought.


This is the premise of the new movie by Christopher Nolan.


I must say, in the beginning I found myself thinking that this was a knock-off of 2001's "Matrix".  I began to wonder when the Wachowski Brothers would burst through the screen to scream "flag on the play".  However, past the first ten minutes, you begin to realize that this movie is something VERY special.


I have watched countless films in my time, some good, some bad, but I was thoroughly impressed by this piece of modern film making.


The CGI all throughout the film doesn't even seem to be out of place.  Since the setting is a dreamworld the viewer can actually believe that the things that are  occurring are common place.  This movie wins where others have failed miserably, .... BELIEVABILITY!


I sat through the entire film and loved how it came full circle in the end.  I will not spoil this one by giving key plot elements away, but hear this my brethren...watch this movie in the theater...tell Joe in the barbershop to leave those bootlegs alone, and support this film.


This is one you surely do NOT want to miss.
